Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells Recipe

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, spinach, mozzarella, parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stuff each pasta shell with the cheese mixture.
  4. Spread some marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Place stuffed shells in the dish and cover with remaining marinara sauce.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through and cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • For a different taste, add herbs like basil or oregano to the filling.
  • Top with extra mozzarella cheese for a cheesy crust.
