Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake Recipe: A Flavor-packed Twist On Sushi

  • 1 pound sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine with water in a rice cooker and cook according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. While the rice is cooking, prepare the salmon. Bake the salmon in the oven for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked, then let it cool and flake it.
  4. In a bowl, mix flaked salmon with mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, and soy sauce.
  5. Once the rice is cooked, spread it in an even layer in a greased baking dish.
  6. Spread the salmon mixture evenly over the rice.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until warm and slightly golden on top.
  8. Garnish with sliced avocado, chopped green onion, and sesame seeds before serving.

  • Adjust the spiciness by varying the amount of sriracha used.
