  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 12 egg whites

  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, sift together the cake flour, 1 cup of sugar, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until frothy, then add cream of tartar and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add remaining sugar to egg whites and whip until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold in the flour mixture and raspberries.
  6. Pour batter into an ungreased tube pan and bake for 35-40 minutes.
  7. Invert pan and let cool completely before removing cake.
