Raspberry Angel Food Cake: A Light and Fruity Dessert Delight

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 12 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together cake flour and 1 cup of sugar.
  3. In another bowl, beat egg whites with salt and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add remaining sugar and vanilla, beating until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold in flour mixture carefully.
  6. Gently fold in raspberries.
  7. Pour batter into an ungreased tube pan and bake for 35-40 minutes.
  8. Let cool upside down before removing from the pan.

Notes

  • Serve with whipped cream for added flavor.
  • Raspberries can be substituted with other berries.
