  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup bourbon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, peel and chop sweet potatoes, then boil until tender.
  6. Drain sweet potatoes and mash with milk and butter.
  7. In a saucepan, combine maple syrup and bourbon; heat until slightly thickened.
  8. Serve meatballs over sweet potato mash, drizzled with bourbon-maple sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add herbs like parsley or thyme to the meatball mixture.
  • Leftover meatballs can be reheated in the oven.
