  • 400 grams pasta (preferably penne or ziti)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (400 grams) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Toss cooked pasta with the sauce, half of the mozzarella, and half of the Parmesan.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, sprinkle with remaining cheese.
