Outback Steakhouse Potato Soup Recipe

A delicious and creamy potato soup inspired by Outback Steakhouse, enhanced with turkey bacon for a healthier twist.

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the bacon drippings, sauté onions until translucent.
  3. Add diced potatoes and chicken broth to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and allow to heat through.
  5. Using a potato masher, mash the potatoes to your desired consistency.
  6. Add shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with turkey bacon and green onions.
