A delicious and nutritious recipe for a light broccoli pasta dish featuring turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces whole wheat pasta
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add broccoli and sauté until tender. Return bacon to the skillet.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese. Toss to combine and heat through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve immediately.
