  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 6 ounces turkey bacon
  • 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then crumble and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, brown the ground turkey until no longer pink.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the turkey and cook until the onion is translucent.
  4. In the crock pot, combine the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, elbow macaroni, cooked turkey, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir well to mix all ingredients.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the macaroni is cooked.
  7. Stir in the crumbled turkey bacon before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider topping with shredded cheese before serving.
  • Can substitute ground turkey with ground beef if desired.
