  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  2. Soak the bread slices in the mixture for about 5 minutes per side.
  3. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the soaked bread slices, cooking until golden brown on each side.
  4. Once cooked, place the slices on a baking sheet and sprinkle with brown sugar.
  5. Broil for 1-2 minutes until the sugar caramelizes.
  6. Serve warm with fresh berries and maple syrup.

Notes
