  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt over medium heat until boiling.
  2. Stir in flour until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Stir in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Fill a piping bag with the dough and pipe small bites into the hot oil.
  6. Fry until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
  7. In a bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon, then toss warm churro bites in the mixture.

Notes

  • Make sure oil is hot enough before frying for the best texture.
  • These bites can be served with chocolate sauce for dipping.
